PRESIDENT’S REPORT FOR 2018

INNC had another great year. It was our sixth season in the North Canberra Netball Competition (NCNC), and we had 22 teams competing, making us the 2nd biggest in the NCNC.

In 2018 INNC had 4 Set teams; 6 Junior teams; 4 Intermediate teams;

2 Cadet teams and 6 Senior teams.

Playing members plus non-playing members totalled 230+ for the year.

Of the 18 teams eligible for finals (‘Set’ teams do not play finals), 10 teams made it into the finals rounds with 3 junior teams, 1 intermediate team, 2 cadet teams and 4 senior teams. The outcome of finals being two Senior teams winning their grand finals; Panthers in Seniors Division 2 and Lynx in Seniors Division 3.

Congratulations to all teams who represented INNC in the finals for 2018.

The depth and talent in our club is best shown by the number of representative players chosen for 2018.

The INNC committee would like to congratulate the 19 players and 2 coaches on their selection for Representative team.

INNC would like to thank all members who helped at the club’s fundraising events during the year, by either baking or donating craft items, or by volunteering to assist and giving so generously of their time, all efforts are very much appreciated.

I would also like to thank my fellow 2018 committee members – Mel Bedford, Kristen Eade, Sue Bedford, Sam Hardy, Margaret Wood, Keslie Williams, Simone Franklin, Linda Moore, Leanne Hayter for all the hard work they have put into the club this year, without the support and the assistance of these wonderful volunteers, our club could not exist.

Finally, on behalf of the committee, I’d like to thank all coaches, managers, umpires, players, and supporters for their contributions throughout the season. You are an integral part of the smooth running of the club and we hope to see you all back for a bigger and better season in 2019.
