2015 END OF SEASON CLUB REPORT

At the completion of the 2015 NCNC netball season, and the third year of operation for the Inner North Netball Club (INNC), we can again celebrate another successful year for the club.

In 2015 the club experienced growth in the number of registered teams and registered players giving it an almost even spread across the divisions with five Set, five Junior, five Intermediate and four Senior teams, making a total of 19 teams, and 190 registered players. Of these teams, INNC was well represented during the finals series (for Junior, Intermediate and Senior), with 72% of our teams qualifying for finals, and four teams representing the club in grand finals. Congratulations to the Black Panthers, Meerkats, and Pumas for finishing Runner Up in their divisions, and an extra congratulations to the Tabby Cats for taking out the grand final and finishing winners in their division.

This season has also seen growth in the number of INNC players being selected to play for representative teams, which shows the level of ability coming through the club, and is a credit to the girls, their team mates, and their coaches. Congratulations, and thank you for proudly representing INNC within the CNA and BNA Representative Teams:

U11 Matilda von Gavel, Emily Thompson and Sophie Hillier(Cool Cats)

U12 Stella Morton; Rebecca Cameron Neser, Molly Heiden (Snow Leopards), Claire Patterson (Jungle Cats), Grace Lanivia (Pink Panthers) and Madeline Vagg (Black Panthers)

U14 Jade Cumberland (Leopards) and Katherine Dixon (Stray Cats)

The number and quality of our club’s umpires has developed over the 2015 season with several Junior and Intermediate players getting involved in the newly introduced CNA umpire development program which again is an invaluable asset to the club. I’d also like to congratulate club umpires Katherine Bedford and Carly Brown for attaining their ‘C’ and ‘B’ Grade Umpire Badges. With the addition of these new umpires, and the level of experience with our badged umpires, the club will be in good stead for the start of the 2016 netball season.
